The Lunchbox | Dabba (2013)

Storyline:

A mistaken delivery in Mumbai's famously efficient lunchbox delivery system connects a young housewife to an older man in the dusk of his life as they build a fantasy world together through notes in the lunchbox

Main Characters:

2. ILA - (hero/goddess)
3. AUNTIE - (mentor)
4. SHAIKH - (enemy)

​Milestones (FIRST ACT):

1. Ordinary World: Saajan will retire soon, Shaikh will take his position and Ila is a lonely housewife worried about her husband.
2. Call for Adventure/Meeting the Goddess (00:20:00): Saajan receives the first letter of Ila in the lunchbox.

Milestones (SECOND ACT):

1. Making Ally/Set of Trial (00:23:00): Ila starts cooking to Saajan and he makes company to each other using the letters.
2. Crossing the Second Threshold (00:35:00): Ila decides to hide the truth from her husband pretending that she doesn't know that his lunch has been changed by the delivery boy. Saajan is worried that the suicidal woman might be Ila.
3. Making Ally (00:39:00): Saajan decides to give Shaikh a chance and they get closer.
4. Approaching The Inmost Cave (01:05:00): Ila invites Saalan to have lunch together.
5. Belly of the Whale: Saalan doesn't show up on the date. Ila waits for him. On the next day there was no food in his lunchbox. Saalan apoligise and says that he is ashamed for being old while she is young. Ila decides to go after Saalan but she doesn't find him in his office.
6. Resurrection and Elixir: Ila understand she must run away as well.
