Storyline:

Mari is a sous-chef that meets her ideal man. He convinces her to open her own restaurant.

1. Ordinary World: Mari is the sous-chef of a fancy restaurant. She is great but her boss does not appreciate her
2. Making Ally (00:05:00): Mari's friend Teresa comforts her.
3. Meeting the Goddess (00:07:00): Mari meets Caio during the wine tasting.
4. Meeting the Mentor/Call to Adventure (00:25:00): Caio tries to convince Mari to open her own restaurant. She declines.
5. Hook (00:28:00): Mari decided to open her own restaurant.

Milestones (SECOND ACT):

1. Crossing the First Threshold (00:29:00): Mari meets her mother to borrow money for her restaurant. Her mother agrees to help her.
2. Set of Trials (00:34:00): Mari goes to the house she bought to be her restaurant. She finds out Caio has not made the payment and ran with her money.Mari goes after any evidence of Caio but he has cleaned his track. Mari decides to go to the police office and ask for help. The cops make fun of her.
3. Belly of the Whale (00:40:00): Mari fails and get depressed. She stays all day long in her apartment. She listens to her mother and sister talking about her.
4. Making Ally (00:43:00): Mari receives a call from Vincente, a detective, who says he got Caio. It is not him.
5. Crossing the Second Threshold (00:49:00): A famous restaurant critic comes to Mari's work place. She receives great reviews and get the guts to confront her boss. Caio goes back to Mari, tells her more lies and try to convince her to help him again.
6. Set of Trials(01:02:00): Mari and Vincente make a plan to stop Caio with the help of Mari's mother. Caio goes to her place, they have dinner together. She installs a virus in his cell phone to her and the police listen to his calls.
7. The Inmost Cave (01:16:00): Caio escapes from the police arrestment and goes to Mari.
8. Resurrection and Elixir (01:20:00): Mari goes to the airport and changes suitcases with Caio without him noticing.
9. The Ultimate Boon (01:23:00): Caio is arrested at the airport for carrying drugs in his suitcase.

Milestones (THIRD ACT):

1. Reward: (01:23:00): Mari watches Caio getting arrested.
2. Freedom to Live (01:24:00): Mari eats hotdogs with Teresa. Mari will be a chef in one of the greatest restaurants of the world, in Denmark.

Final Feedback:

Big Eyes was the first picture I did for the blog that the protagonist is a woman. This is the second one. Both of them have the same characther as enemy and goddess. They are used and betrayed by the love of her lives.

Confia em Mim is a short feature film (about 90min long) and has a big first act since I consider the Acceptance of the Call the invitation to have a restaurant of her own (and not the couple life). Most of films so far have the call around the 15th minute and are much longer pictures as a whole. It made, consequently, the second act to rush and barely have a third one.
